The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced its fourth quarterly consultative meeting with stakeholders.
While addressing newsmen and representatives of political parties on Wednesday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu disclosed that 9 out of the 14 policies which were agreed upon at the last quarterly meeting which held on the 10th of May, 2022 have been implemented.
Mahmood also warned political parties against hate speeches and violence during the general elections, adding that the commission recorded 9.5 million new voters with 40% being students.
In his remarks, the chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council IPAC, Sani Yabagi expressed confidence in the leadership of INEC to deliver credible polls.
