HOW TERRORISTS TRIED TO KILL ME IN KADUNA, BY BUHARI

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari’s has recounted the attempt by terrorists on his life in 2014 when he was traveling from Kaduna to Katsina, his hometown.

While commissioning some projects executed by Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s administration, yesterday, Buhari recalled how he narrowly escaped being bombed near Kawo Bridge in Kaduna adding that his security escorts were vigilant as he escaped unhurt.

During the Kaduna visit, the President also commissioned ultra-modern sports and shopping complexes at Murtala Mohammed Square, where he reiterated the likelihood of his staying in Kaduna after leaving office.

The president recalled how he relocated to Kaduna after serving his jail term in the 1980s from Daura and confessed that he cannot find his way home with the current development.

The President also commissioned some projects in Kafanchan in Southern Kaduna, and under the project, 21 roads totaling 26.3km were reconstructed, expanded or dualized in Kafanchan, at N12.8 billion.
