Following the incessant gas explosion in the state, the Delta State government has placed stringent conditions in siting gas and petrol stations in the state.
The State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Emma Amgbaduba stated this shortly after the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa at the government house, Asaba.
He said the measures put in place include the approval from the governor himself, Ministry of Oil & Gas, DPR, Environment, Lands & Survey, and Fire Service before final approval will be given.
He urged stations especially the existing ones to put in place adequate safety measures to ensure people’s safety when such an incident occurs.
