Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday evening hosted Governors of the 36 States of the Federation, security chiefs and heads of para-military organizations to an Iftar dinner at the State House, Abuja.
According to state house correspondents, some of the Presidential guests had earlier joined the President in performing the Magrib prayer at the Aso Villa Mosque before the commencement of the breaking of fast.
Newsmen noted that the President had last week hosted the leadership of the nation’s judiciary as similar dinner.
On that day, the President pledged that the Executive arm of the government would continue to respect the judiciary within the provisions of the Nigeria Constitution in order to strengthen democracy in the country.
