The Governor of Ondo State, ROTIMI AKEREDOLU, SAN, has urged the State Police Command to take adequate measures to secure correctional centers across the state.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, RICHARD OLATUNDE disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday.
OLATUNDE said the call was made in view of the disturbing trend of incessant attacks on Correctional Homes in some States that border Ondo State.
The statement said the latest variant of insecurity calls for concern, especially as States like Kogi and Ekiti as well as Oyo have suffered similar ordeal in well-coordinated breaches aimed at setting free crime suspects, particularly those with gang identities.
The governor urged all residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement around their respective environments.
