JABIRU MUHAMMED, a suspected bandit, claims that a traditional chief, UNGUWA ZAILANI, and two other people are his accomplices in committing banditry attacks in ZAMFARA State’s TSAFE Local Government Area (LGA).
MUHAMMED claims to be under the leadership of a prominent bandit who is supposed to be hidden in the ZAMFARA forest.
According to a statement from the KATSINA State Police Command the suspect admitted to participating in an attack on SABURU village in the TSAFE Local Government Area, where they kidnapped four children and were given a ransom of N2 million.
The state police public relations officer, S. P. GAMBO said, the KATSINA Police Command has succeeded in arresting the notorious armed bandit.
