The Federal Government of Nigeria has given approval to the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited, (NigComSat), for the purchase of another Satellite this year, 2022.
This was disclosed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami while addressing Journalists when he toured the facilities at the agency’s base in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Speaking further the Pantami said, the Government recently approved two subsidiaries of NigComSat and was on the ground to supervise what they have been doing.
The Minister noted that some areas needed to work in order to improve their performance significantly.
Pantami also stated that for the agency not to be considered for privatization again; it must provide quality service and generate good revenue.
Meanwhile, the Director-General, NigComSat, Abimbola Alale appreciated the minister for his immense support.
